So Far, So Good

A man is falling off a tall building. As he passes the 100th floor , he says “It’s 99 floors to the ground, but, so far so good”. Now, that’s an optimist! And that’s what we are- optimistic. After several meetings on our own we’ve added new members, hopefully more will follow after some expected publicity.
Two of our newest exemplify our expanded membership, now beyond a focus on Cancer. One is currently receiving Chemo treatments, the other attends meetings with her seeing eye dog. Jane Hill, our legally blind poet, recently wrote “Grace”.
Grace
in the fabric of my destruction
god plants the seeds of grace
the beauty of my children
strength found in family love
knowing they will be with me
no matter what it takes
the gentle rhythms of my life
lit by the smile of friends
coffee brewing in the early mist
to greet the morning sun
the joy of watching children
playing in the rain
hearing hymns sung by the wind
dancing day by day
in the fabric of my destruction
god plants the seeds of grace
